A Few Words About Us
This site is based upon a system designed out of necessity...
Having been in the motor trade for more than 3 decades, we understood that many garages want to focus on the work that they do best - repairing vehicles. Technology often feels like it's there simply to make things more complicated. All too often, new features are installed in vehicles, seemingly without sufficient durability testing.
MOT Testing has come a long way too. The MOT testers guide was little more than a thin pamphlet back in the 80s, but the introduction of computerisation of the MOT service in 2005, brought with it the most significant change to the MOT scheme since it's inception in 1960.
We are not here to change your VTS', we are here to help garage owners (AEs) understand their VTS risk. If you are an AE reading this, you will be aware that in the middle of 2025 DVSA started a review process for AE training. The most likely outcome of their recent survey is that they will require AEs to undertake annual training, much like their testers. This will come as a shock to some, but those who are tester/AEs will probably have seen this coming and hopefully take it in their stride. One thing is for certain, the emphasis on the AE understanding their role and responsibilities is only increasing, and that's where we are here to help.
About us as people:
We are a small team of people that include Testers, AEs, AECs and IT industry specialists. We have seen IT change in multiple industries over the past 30 years, as well as the motor trade and MOTs in particular. We are passionate about cars and IT, we are passionate about data and helping others. We see the way that the MOT business is changing and we want to help others adapt to the MOT future.
With 17 years experience as an NT, 11 years as an AE, all whilst maintaining an additional career in IT, it simply made sense to leverage technology.
